    The Accounting Specialist will have primary responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses. The position will assist with other accounting processes as needed. 

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Administer the accounts payable process which includes timely review and processing of invoices for payment
    • Maintain and report weekly AP aging and check processing needs
    • Process, print, and distribute checks
    • Administer the accounts receivable process
    • Responsible for collections from JAGGAER customers on invoices
    • Determine appropriate capitalization of assets and ensure accurate entry of assets into NetSuite
    • Record depreciation monthly
    • Reconcile fixed asset and accumulated depreciation accounts monthly
    • Maintain prepaid expense schedule, ensuring expenses are recorded accurately and the balance reconciles to the G/L
    • Respond to audit inquiries related to areas of responsibility
    • Prepare and enter journal entries as required
    • Complete month-end duties associated with assigned areas of responsibility in accordance with a strict close schedule
    • Assist with other areas as needed

    Position Requirements

    • Associate’s degree or greater preferred
    • 1-3 years relevant work experience preferred
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, management, vendors, and service providers
    • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
    • Attention to detail
    • Flexible and have the ability to adapt to changing work priorities
    • Handle confidential information with discretion
    • Proficient using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

     

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    • Accounts payable
    • US GAAP
    • Sales/use tax
    • NetSuite experience
    • Payroll processing and related regulations for US and Canada employees
