    The Revenue Accounting Manager is a key member and leader of the finance and accounting team and will be an integral part of JAGGAER’s ASC 606 / IFRS 15 adoption efforts.  This role will be responsible for the day-to-day activities required to account for revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS in a SaaS environment in addition to managing the resources responsible for order to cash processes.  Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Senior Revenue Accountant is also responsible for performing research and analysis on issues that arise as part of the monthly close process, documenting contract reviews, ensuring commission expense recognition is in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS, and other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

    Principal Responsibilities

    Duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to:

    • Perform and document revenue contract reviews
    • Manage a team of direct resources and coordinate with others across finance and accounting
    • Perform independent technical accounting research and document conclusions in memoranda
    • Prepare and review revenue transactions to ensure they are accurately recorded in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS
    • Review commissions expense to ensure accuracy in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS
    • Perform monthly reporting and analysis
    • Document processes and templates to improve efficiency and effectiveness
    • Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including preparation of revenue schedules, GAAP / IFRS revenue analysis, account reconciliations, roll forwards, journal entries, and close package
    • Assist with annual audit
    • Assist with acquisition integration

    Position Requirements

    • B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • Minimum of 8 years of corporate or public accounting experience, CPA preferred
    • SaaS and/or Software revenue recognition experience
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
    • Able to articulate technical revenue accounting guidance (ASC 605, ASC 606, IFRS 15) and apply it to real world situations
    • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to take ownership of areas of responsibility and drive improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
