    The Application Trainer will be a member of the JAGGAER Education Team consisting of training and technical writing professionals. This position is responsible for product training program development, design and delivery for both internal and external (customer/partner) training sessions as well as development of eLearning resources. This person must be an exceptionally strong communicator, and understand software from a conceptual perspective. The application trainer works closely with various groups at JAGGAER, therefore, interpersonal skills are critical to the role. Planning and organizational skills, as well as business acumen, are keys to success.

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Manage training programs through all phases of the development cycle, from analysis and design through implementation and assessment, driving decisions regarding appropriate modality from instructor led to eLearning modules.
    • Deliver high-quality software product training, both in the classroom and through virtual classes. Ability to conduct training at client locations, conferences or regional user groups as required.
    • Design and develop training curriculum using Jaggaer standard templates in multiple modalities.
    • Gather information from different groups within the organization (Product Development, Support, Marketing, etc.) to prepare training programs.
    • Continuously update materials to ensure they reflect new product features and best practices.
    • Develop training materials to support partner and customer certification programs
    • Collaborate with team members to develop eLearning resources and videos to enhance training programs.
    • Jaggaer Advantage product knowledge highly desirable; Serve as a product expert; maintain a high level of knowledge in Jaggaer product releases. Develop and deliver training materials to support product release cycle in collaboration with product development.
    • As needed, responsible for the coordination, setup, and logistics for webinars and training events.

    Position Requirements

    • Professional presentation skills including the ability to deliver in-depth technical content with enthusiasm
    • Ability to learn complex, difficult concepts with minimal assistance
    • Working knowledge of instructional design principles and curriculum development models such as ADDIE
    • The ability to work independently. This position requires initiative and creativity from the candidate.
    • Excellent written communication skills – The ability to communicate technical and non-technical concepts, and to edit materials from others.
    • Exceptional planning and organization skills.
    • Demonstrated experience developing and performing product demonstrations and training instruction/courses.
    • Ability to multi-task and work under demanding deadlines.
    • Strong knowledge of the following applications:
      • Microsoft Word
      • Microsoft PowerPoint
      • MS Excel and Visio, and other graphic design programs a plus
      • Virtual training platforms such as WebEx, GoTo or Adobe Connect
    • Knowledge of the following applications a plus:
      • Camtasia, Captivate or other eLearning development software
      • HTML editing software
    • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English, or equivalent; undergraduate or graduate degree in Instructional Design preferred
    • Experience with Jaggaer product suite (Jaggaer Advantage) or other similar systems ideal (procurement software, supplier management, and contract management systems).
    • Travel Approximately 20%, with ability to travel internationally
