JAGGAER is seeking a Senior Forward Development Engineer to help shape, activate, and scale the next generation of Agentic AI and Generative AI capabilities across our platform. This role is designed for a senior technologist who thrives at the intersection of innovation, productization, and customer engagement. Because this is an emerging role profile, we are less focused on a specific title history and more interested in candidates who have demonstrated the right blend of applied AI depth, technical leadership, and customer-facing solution delivery.

You will work closely with customers to understand business challenges, translate them into AI-driven solution approaches, and help operationalize high-impact capabilities that demonstrate measurable value. This role requires a rare combination of strong applied AI experience, solution design, hands-on prototyping, and the ability to guide customers through adoption of emerging technologies.

Success in this role will come from being able to bridge strategy and execution: partnering with customers, product, architecture, and AI teams to turn concepts into customer-ready solutions that advance JAGGAER’s AI-first roadmap.

• Partner directly with customers to understand business objectives, workflows, and operational pain points that can be addressed through Agentic AI and Generative AI.
• Design, prototype, and help operationalize AI-powered solutions that showcase and activate JAGGAER’s emerging AI capabilities.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, solution workshops, activation planning, and capability walkthroughs with customer and internal stakeholders.
• Build and validate proof-of-concept solutions that accelerate customer adoption and inform future platform direction.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable AI solution patterns, reusable accelerators, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture, engineering, and data science teams to refine AI features based on customer feedback and field experience.
• Support activation of intelligent workflows involving large language models, agentic workflows and orchestration patterns, retrieval-augmented generation, automation, and decision support.
• Evaluate emerging frameworks, tools, and approaches in Agentic AI and Generative AI to determine fit for customer use cases and platform evolution.
• Present complex technical concepts in a clear, compelling way to both technical and business audiences, including customer executives and practitioners.
• Help ensure activated solutions meet expectations for usability, trust, security, scalability, and business impact.
• Contribute to the development of internal best practices, reference architectures, and enablement assets for AI activation.

What You Will Bring

We recognize that Forward Development Engineer is an emerging profile. We are not looking for someone who has held this exact title for a decade; we are looking for someone who has built the right combination of experience across AI solution development, enterprise solution delivery and adoption, and direct customer engagement.

• Significant experience in software engineering, applied AI, solution architecture, or other customer-facing technical roles involving complex enterprise solution delivery and adoption.
• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, and enterprise AI solution development.
• Practical experience working with large language models, agentic workflows and orchestration patterns, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector-based retrieval.
• Proven ability to move from idea to prototype to customer-ready capability in fast-moving environments.
• Experience working directly with customers to design, configure, activate, or operationalize complex technical solutions.
• Strong consultative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect technical possibilities to business outcomes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills across technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive audiences.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and help define structure, priorities, and next steps.
• Strong understanding of enterprise software, cloud-based platforms, APIs, integrations, and solution activation patterns.
• High standards for quality, security, maintainability, and responsible AI adoption.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

• Experience activating AI capabilities in enterprise SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with procurement, supply chain, finance, or other complex enterprise business domains.
• Experience with AI copilots, autonomous workflows, digital assistants, or intelligent process automation.
• Background in innovation, incubation, advanced prototyping, or strategic solution development.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and help align customer priorities with product roadmap opportunities.
